A snowstorm hit us in the night, and we woke up to a lot of fresh snow. Schools were all cancelled, so we called a homeschool cancellation, too. Not that learning stops when it snows...It just gets more fun!
I showed them how to build a snow shelter. Emma was amazed at how warm it was inside.

Pouring hot syrup onto fresh snow.
Next time I'll pat the snow down a little more before we pour the hot syrup onto it.
I'm a homeschooling mother of three (7, 5 and almost 2) living in the beautiful Maritimes. We play as much as can in nature, hunting for fairies and gnomes--sometimes bringing our own crafted creatures to play with when the real ones are being too shy!
